It's bugged out. Happened to me too. Leave the system and allow another fleet to spawn and retake the system, then enter as close to the portal as you can get and try to focus it down before the system control station dies. The Scourge also have a similar bug where I couldn't bomb the infested worlds unless it was under control of them.

I'm currently fighting the Unbidden end game crisis. I believe I destroyed all the dimensional portals (the Unbidden don't control any more systems). I only have the portal to destroy, but I can't seem to do so. It says it can't be attacked. I'm assuming it's a bug, but I'm not sure. Steps to reproduce the issue. There comes a point when you have fleets big enough to defeat the smaller fleets, or you have enough stuff stacked in Terminal Egress to fend of one or two at once, but they'll randomly get wiped out because the 11M one stops by instead of one of the other 4M fleets. As you’re doing that, send in your Battleships to destroy the Anchors until there are none left. Once the Anchors are clear, go in for the Portal. Option 2: Summary.
