After watching a bunch of youtube videos I have decided to do an action job myself. I have done quite a bit of work on my handguns, bolt rifles, AR's and Ruger 10/22's so I am now confident I can work on a Marlin 1894. Besides polishing all the recommended surfaces, I will install a Pioneer Gun Works Marlin One Piece Firing Pin Kit.

Posts: 256. 1951 Marlin 39A firing pin help! I have a 1951 Marlin 39A that has a broken firing pin. Does anyone know where/if replacements are available? I've tried Numrich gun parts but they are out of stock. Midway only carries the late model firing pins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Swanys New 39A FTF and FTE problems, and the FIXES The failure to fire is the easy fix I tackled this in two parts by reducing the amount of rebound by grinding the lower part of the strut a few thousandths, but feel the relieving the inner area of the firing pin done the most good, and would likely solve the failure to fire by itself.UPDATE: Our own Steve Young here on Leverguns sells the one-piece firing pins. I can't make mine misfire by pointing them down. 2607 posts · Joined 2011. #5 · Apr 16, 2013. I restored my 1891 .32 and was lucky to find an old/new original Marlin barrel from Numrich Arms. I had the barrel chamber reamed to .32 S&W Long. It works perfectly, the only modification was to open the cartridge loading slot on the magazine tube a wee bit to clear the slightly larger diameter.On top of that, it barely clears the bolt face. A new pin ordered from Brownells. The pin was listed as "post 1974" so I was not concerned. Duly delivered and it doesn't fit! On closer looking it doesn't resemble the pin it's supposed to replace. Likewise, the pin in the 39A doesn't resemble the pin in my '73 vintage 39M or even my 1897!39AS firing pin removal.
