Aug 27, 2021 · I searched the forums and didn’t find much, just everything with the word “fuel” or “rail” in it. I’m new to the forum, bought a 95 yj 2.5L with a 5 speed. I’ve got a fuel leak in the rail. Mechanic has said it needs to be replaced if I could find the part.

Then it would have to be one for a SBC. The old Jeep's with carbs used a mechanical pump that wouldn't fit on a SBC. Sense it's a 95, if the stock pump in the tank is still functional then you just need a pressure reducer specific for carbs.The return line also should be on the top side of the filter, above the carb line to prevent gas siphoning back to the tank when it sits, making for long cold starts. You can replace them with bulk FI hose and good hose clamps. If you are replacing the hard lines, you can use a flaring tool to put a little bubble flare on the ends of the lines to give a good grip on the rubber hose/clamps. Same with the vapor hard line. If it were mine, i would run new line from the front to the rear for both the supply and the return lines. When running at idle the pressure jumps to 80 psi, oscillating between 75 and 85. I use to pay 55 cents per foot for the old stuff, but today I paid nearly $9.00 for 2 feet of the f/i hose. I guess the PSI is quite a bit different (15 PSI vs 70 PSI), at least ...
