Very good bolt in for a 96", little undercammed for the 103" but produces great torque in every range and a wonderful cam for touring (with a little racing fun too). Very quiet and well mannered. No cam noise like some of the other cams out there.

It's mik 42 and I figured out the problem had to swap out the ignition with my original. Fixed that problem. Runs like a top. But it smokes like a freight train on start up smells like a gas and oil mixture. Doesn't smoke as much after running a bit. Gonna change the oil again now that the shake down is over . It will not be an easy swap. It can be made to fit. The 2001 has a Magnetti Marelli EFI and you will need the wiring harness and more if yours doesn't have the MM EFI. All touring and Dyna motors are the "A". The main difference is the Softail "B" motors have 2 balance weights that are driven by the crank.
