It most of the time has to be jumped or turn the key on and off 5 times before trying to start it. Engine light is on with reading that a new gas cap is needed. Like others have said, 25$ part, 10 minutes to install. I have a 2012 Acadia Denali that was experiencing the same issue rpm fluctuation under load. Thinking it was a gas/air mixture issue I tried swapping coils, spark plugs, cleaning gas tank, and cleaning the throttle body. It helped, but did not resolve the issue.
