The Beretta's lower is zinc alloy. The Beretta's safety is user friendlier, the Ruger's demands concentration. The Beretta has that nice 3 dot sight. The Ruger's magazines cost less, but are 10 round. The Beretta's are 15 round. I own a Ruger Mark II and a 9mm Beretta 92FS.

This may seem disloyal for a major S&W fan but I have both Ruger MKII & Browning Buckmark but after hearing of the barrel screw issues w/ the Victory have zero interest in owning one. The Ruger & Browning are very accurate & there's no need to remove the barrel to clean them.
