After both oil changes I've had problems with leaks that did not exist before the changes. Both leaks are associate with "O" rings. First was a leak at hydraulic cylinder cap. Got that leak stopped with new O rings after 2 attempts.

I think adding 30w oil will cost you much more than driving to the Kubota dealer and buying some UDT. I currently run Chevron THF 1000 in my M9540.

The fluid type is UDT... and no that does not mean universal. 2 other expectable fluids are New Holland hydraulic fluid and Mystic JT6 fluid. The filter is a High pressure filter, not an ordinary oil filter type.
