Most PMC pants have distinct knee pads and holsters and are usually dark colors. Some scav pants also have holsters and knee pads too though so you have to really pay attention sometimes. Another easy way to distinguish if they are a PMC or not is when they start riddling you with bullets. Probably the most surefire way to tell if you ask me.

The basic gist is that the PMC is your main character that you get EXP for playing as, but you’re in a lot of trouble if you get killed. On the other hand, they do have some advantages compared with Scavs. Speaking of, playing as a Scav are high-reward / low-risk runs, but they do have a cooldown after you deploy them.
