I had a similar thing happened to me and I finally figured out it was my phone cable that was shorting out and causing the radio, nav etc to shut off. Unplug cable and try, it worked for me. New cable and no issues since. The day before I brought my truck to get the radio looked at I also had a check engine light come on. At 50,000 my catalytic converter shit the bed. Seems a little odd. Luckily that is under warranty.
