The cruisers basically are anti missile and strike craft screens for my battleships. Flak + 2x Autocannon PD + 2x Autocannon Both have the swarm computer. I place about 15-20 of each type in my mixed fleets (for a total of 30-40). Their role is to sprint to the enemy, intercepting any missiles / strike craft along the way and then strip the enemy of their shields.
