So i was just checking out a few ballistic tables of the 300, and it showed the 165 gr. nosler had the greatest energy, velocity, and less drop at 500 yards then any of the other bullets on the list. Seems like everyone shoots the 180. Have to fireform 50 pieces of Nosler Brass because it shoots like crap virgin. it's out of spec for OAL by .004" (2.596" is what this brass measures) trim to length is 2.610" and sammi min is 2.600. The primer pocket depth is barely in by a few tenths of a thou. My primer pockets measure .1238"...Nosler had some 165gr Ballistic tips in stock a few weeks ago, So I picked up a few bags. Remington 9 1/2M primers are in the cases. The goal will be 3100fps in the 24" Ruger. Search turned up very little on the 165g BT in the 300 win mag. In addition it is not esp. sens to temp variations. If you continue to be unable to locate any H1000, RL26 is another good alternative.

Being a bit long, the bullets will need to be set deeper into the case than the Nosler bullets I typically use in order to meet the OAL length.
