I have also been keeping an eye on gun broker auctions and am currently interested in adding an Ithaca Model 500 12GA to pair with my 20GA. I have found two models for sale, both $500 out the door.Previously, I owned a model 500 with 26-inch barrels and couldn't shoot that gun well at all. The barrels were just too light and the gun too whippy. (BTW, I also own two other SKB's a 12 gauge 785 and a 28 gauge 585). I own a bunch of double guns, both over/under and side-by-side and I definitely prefer a heavier gun and longer barrels.
