Tradestation has much lower margins ($292 for MES) and rates. Would need to look into how the platform is though. Yea i looked at trade station before and decided on tradovate. I think they will get the reliability sorted out and honestly if it is only during crazy volatility times, i can avoid that.

I'd recommend Tradovate to any new futures trader as long as they can be smart enough to not overleverage their account with the low commissions. Unfortunately most new traders will overleverage and risk blowing up their account.
