I dont understand why people say mathews are so expensive. All major bow companies are priced the same for the most part. All flagship bows are 900+ with hoyt having a 1400 dollar bow. Mission bows are their mid priced bows. I would see your point if mathews bows were always more expensive then the competitors but they just arent.

I do believe a lower let off is more accurate though unless you really,really have solid shooting discipline. I shoot 80% because I have plans to hunt Colorado, but I can definitely tell the difference between 65 and 80% letoff. At 80% letoff the length of my beard can impact accuracy.
