Why is madden taking out my starters.
It means that Madden places a higher priority on quick scores. To elaborate, when NFL offenses are not necessarily in a rush in the first quarter. If they have to punt, it is not necessarily a big deal. If you have to punt in Madden, it can very well cripple you in the first quarter.
While playing the last couple weeks in franchise mode, my 1st string offense switchs to second string after 1 play on offense. I can't change it after. The depth chart is correct. No fatigue. No injury. Anyone else have this problem? Sounds like progressive fatigue caught up but you said no fatigue so no clue.Green doesn't mean 100% energy. It is just above whatever threshold EA has it set to before it turns yellow. To figure this out better we need to know what your auto subs are set to and what your guys energy levels are going into the games. This will give your starters more XP during practice helping them advance. After week 10. Change it to half pads and split time or even back ups. This will do the same thing for you back ups but it will also let your starters rest.

As others stated it's likely due to progressive fatigue and the level at which your auto subs trigger. The thing I did to make mine work was before selecting one of the 3 superstar modes after character creation; I backed out. Then I selected my character and picked the superstar mode, clicked through the rules, and it loaded. I am not sure if it will work again, but just putting this out here for others to try. Reply.
