Channel owner has the broadcast rights so withholds the feed until agreement reached, or DirecTV pays higher rate for just an extension. The channel will be back once Nexstar permits it, but is not looking like a quick resolution. In the meantime I would try a regular over-the-air (OTA) antenna to get the free broadcast. Useful as a back when these negotiations go this far. Also might pull up addition sub-channels that DirecTV doesn't carry.
