Biggest problem with yuzu on the deck is the GPU clock bug, which locks the GPU to 1040mhz. Manually setting it to 1600mhz greatly increases performance in yuzu, but after a few seconds GPU will be locked to 1040mhz again. It's funny though in over 300+ EA version increments and like a year, and it still runs pretty much the same'ish FPS/performance on Steam Deck as it did in the beginning. Folks have just found ideal settings and such, but the ToTK emulation state for deck hasn't moved much.
