Vermont castings made a stove model called “defiant”, this looks like an insert version that scandia made up. Im not sure vermont casting ever made a defiant model insert. I would for sure be concerned with safety as well, inserts are a whole different ball game than free standing stoves, and the tech has come a long way in 40 years.
