Define "best". My 1st objective of every new run is to get to Louisville so west point has been my go to. They are all good. Rosewood is a relatively small town with lots of amenities. The others are larger and therefore have more zombies but its fun to experiment with them all. I dunno why few like west point. You can find maps of the different towns in-game, but they seem rather rare. Fortunately, you could also just hop on the internet and find a map, which is much easier. I think such a drive takes about 6 hours in-game time, under 10 minutes IRL. The main highway through the map has some pileups, but you can either find another route, or go over the grass, but you may need to cut some trees. The bridge just east of West Point is blocked, but the railbridge just next to it is free.
