Gmc acadia shift to park fix.

1 post · Joined 2014. #1 · Nov 9, 2020. I own a 2017 Acadia. I first encountered the Shift to Park issue in January 2019. The car was fixed on 1/9/2019 under the technical service bulletin. I now have the issue again and unfortunately I am just outside the 3 yr 36,000 mile warranty as I bought my Acadia on 9/21/2017 and have 36,400 miles on it.This symptom is called "flare-up" during shifts. 4k rpm seems high but that depends on what rpm you are at when the transmission begins to shift. Usually the rpms only increase a few hundred rpm before lowering after the shift is completed. Causes could be many.
