The mechanic/rep said this is now being reported for the 2023’s only. She said it’s moisture that builds up as a thin layer of rust on the brakes every time the car sits and it is wet or humid. The squeaking continues until the moisture is burned off. She thinks it’s caused by a new composition for the brake materials.
The tires wore down to the "wear bars" at about 38.5K miles and still noisy. We are relatively moderate drivers, easy on the gas, brakes and turns, and about an equal mix of highway driving and local. We replaced them with Michelin Premier LTX.
