I also have hill decent control and used it once. Do not let this stand in the way -- if the truck you are looking at doesn't have it. In my opinion it is unnecessary and unsafe. It works below 10-12mph, but just above that mine would "let go", it'd creep up over 15mph and then seemingly just shut itself off.

Normally after shutting the truck off for a bit it goes away.
