Seems like some games "default" voice setting doesnt seem to recognise the mic. Make sure to set the same voice imput everywhere. If you have multiple sources and your mic works (for example) with discord, look up the device which discord uses. Make sure you have the correct mic device selected in Steam settings (I think CS:GO uses this setting but double check that there isn't a separate selection in-game). In Windows volume control make sure your mic is selected as your default recording device, as well. That may help.
