I also saw several suggestions on both the original Benellis and the copies to use a couple of boxes of higher velocity buckshot and birdshot loads for the initial break-in before moving on to the lighter stuff.

The Benelli M4 was designed in 1998 so the patents expired in 2018. Some company comes along doesn't have to do any R&D, just copies the design, probably uses some parts that are not heat treated as well, and bam M4 Clone.

If you watch videos from Australia you will see shotguns being used in a straight pull style as semi autos are illegal there. I know that there is a tac 12 aussie straight pull version, that may be what you are seeing.
