2016 escalade fan keeps running.

When going up a hill all of a sudden the radiator fan starts running real fast and the engine check light comes on. Nothing is reading over temp or anything. Ac and heat work fine. Fan keeps running fast till I stop and shut the truck off.Head scratcher .... with no key in ignition the dual fans will run. when key goes in and engine is turned over the fans stop running.
